A recognition that speaks of method, people, and social impact
The selection of Pitch Perfect as an Erasmus+ Good Practice stems from the project’s final evaluation by the Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE, which acknowledged the quality of the training pathway, the methodological soundness, and the real impact generated within the educational contexts involved.
Pitch Perfect emerged from a simple and very widespread need: to support counselors, psychologists, educators, and social workers in navigating language, communication, and affirmative practices when working with LGBTQ+ people, young adults, families, and communities. Not through abstract theoretical tools, but through practical, adaptable, and shareable resources.
The project built its value over time through blended workshops, co-design moments, peer exchange, and the consistent participation of its beneficiaries. From this process came the manual Le Parole Contano, the facilitation sheets, and the illustrated card deck Avventura Queer: tools that are now concretely used in educational, counseling, and psychosocial support contexts.
The recognition as a Good Practice does not concern only the final outputs, but also the way they were developed: a transnational effort based on genuine collaboration, attentive listening to needs, and a strong focus on accessibility and the transferability of skills. A pathway that also contributed to the organizational growth of Close in the Distance and to the strengthening of the educational and community networks involved.
The Pitch Perfect materials remain available in open access, continue to circulate and be used, and the methodology developed through the project continues to inform our everyday work. Everything is, and will always be, freely available and open access on our website, as well as on the Erasmus+ Project Results platform.
